Head of Finance to lead the accounting function, including tasks like process development, team leadership and more. In this role you will be leading our accounting team (currently 3 professionals) and report to our Chief Financial Officer. Position can be located either at our HQ in Oulu or in Espoo, Finland.

As our Head of Finance, you get to work with versatile topics in close co-operation with various stakeholders. In your role you will be responsible for:
Leading and developing the accounting function, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement
Taking charge of the external accounting process, demonstrating expertise in IFRS standards and group consolidation
Collaborating with our outsourcing partner to manage the accounting for our international daughter companies
Preparing monthly, interim, and annual financial reports, providing insightful analysis to support management decisions
Leading, coaching and guiding the team with modern leadership principles
Contributing as a financial expert to various business development projects
Developing and refining accounting-related systems, processes, and internal policies
Overseeing the audit process and serving as the primary contact for auditors
Participating in ad hoc finance and business projects as needed
Other day-to-day financial and administrative tasks.
We believe that an ideal candidate for this role has:
A Master’s degree in economics, with a focus on accounting preferred
A minimum of 6 years of finance experience in an international business setting
Strong financial analysis, planning, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in group consolidation and a solid grasp of IFRS standards
Extensive IT proficiency including excellent Microsoft Excel skills
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Oracle NetSuite and PowerBI is seen as an advantage
Experience on system implementation and development
Outstanding collaboration, influencing, and team-working abilities in a changing global environment as well as people leadership skills
Fluency in both English and Finnish, both spoken and written
