About The Role – Operator Entry Level
We are the largest coal mining operator in this region. We know that one of our greatest assets is our people. That’s why we’re committed to attracting, motivating and retaining the very best.
Our current operating assets include three open cut and one underground mine all located in the Gunnedah Basin.
Our Open Cut operations are seeking safe and efficient production operators to join the team on a permanent basis. We have 25 positions available at our Maules Creek Coal Operations located: Off Therribri Road – Boggabri, NSW, 2382.

What You’ll Do
  • Efficiently and safely operate excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, trucks, water truck, lighting plants and other equipment as required.
  • Meet production and budgetary targets
  • Demonstrate visible safe working practises and application of JSA’s
  • Maintain a high work output level, and notify your supervisor immediately in important safety and / or production issues occur.
  • Maintain housekeeping to a high standard, ensuring areas of responsibility are kept neat and tidy.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including site environmental policy.
What You’ll Bring
Operators who can demonstrate a commitment to safety, maintain a high work output level and contribute to a collaborative organisational culture. Requirements include:
  • Willing to relocate and remain in the Gunnedah area for the duration of the contract (financial assistance provided for the right candidate)
  • Ability to work 12.5 hour shifts on a rotating day and night roster
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Strong Communication Skills
The Successful Candidates will;
  • Work 30 - 40 hours per week or averaged out over the fixed-term contract
  • Be available to commence work from 28 August, 2023
  • Be available for a 3-to-4-year contract
  • Undertake regular training to increase skills and capabilities
  • Participate in the Visa process including prescribed medicine, drug and alcohol screening
  • Attend & Pass Employment Medicals prior to relocation and once in country
  • Traineeships will be offered during the fixed-term contract and will be discussed with candidates’ years
